How to Measure
Use a soft tape measure over close-fitting clothing or bare skin. Keep the tape level and snug, but not tight.
- Chest - measure around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms, keeping the tape level across the back.
- Waist - measure around the natural waistline at its narrowest point, just above the hip bone.
- Hip - measure around the fullest part of the hips and bottom, with feet together.
- Height - stand your child straight against a wall without shoes and measure from the top of the head to the floor.
Still between sizes? Go up a size. Height is the best single indicator for kids, and weight the best for babies.

The Dog House Kids Cotton Cap in Brown puts a bit of cheek on their head, with the slang embroidered front and centre on soft cotton in a warm earthy brown.
What's it mean? Being in the dog house means you're in trouble with someone at home. Usually temporary, usually deserved. More Aussie slang explained.
Breathable cotton with a curved brim for sun cover, in a brown that doesn't show the day's adventures. There are matching Dog House kids socks too.
