Sustainability

Not only do our designs capture and enhance the fun, and imagination of childhood, but we are actively looking at ways to be kinder to the environment. By continually looking to improve our impact on the planet through production and day-to-day practices, Rock Your Baby endeavours to take mindful steps to a greener future.

As from June 2021, we have taken a totally sustainable approach. Our swim factory is GRS (Global Recycled Standard) accredited and 85% of the fabrics are made from Recycled plastic bottles. Our Summer/ Winter 2021 range will have eco-friendly materials including GOTS certified cotton (Global Organic Textile Standard). Our printing techniques are mostly Digital printing which has less impact on the environment. We have also started doing trans-seasonal and unisex clothing so our range becomes more versatile and inclusive.

ETHICAL

We ensure that our supply chain must adhere to strict checks before working with us. Our factories are regularly audited and must pass our ethical and social standards; there is zero tolerance for child labour and discrimination and we ensure our factory workers are paid fairly and work in a safe environment.

SAFETY & TESTING

We conduct regular testing on fabrics and garments to ensure no harmful chemicals are present in the print or fabrics to ensure that our products are 100% safe. All fabrics dyeing and Printing processes use non-AZO carcinogenic dyestuffs, are free from heavy metals- chrome dyes and Phthalates.

Baby garments are tested according to Australian Standards for Tension Pull force test for choking hazards on small parts. Sleepwear fabrics are flammability tested and Sleepwear designs adhered to requirements set in the Australian Standards.

QUALITY

Our mission is to deliver quality garments that can last many seasons after purchase. We only use certified labs to do our testing and we also do regular wash test in-house to check for shrinkage and colourfastness.

OUR DAY-TO-DAY GREEN APPROACH

We aim to minimise our footprint and work towards reducing the resources used in our day-to-day practices. Within the business, we're phasing out the use of single-use plastics in our offices, and favour sustainably sourced supplies.

We are constantly looking for greener solutions in our end-to-end production and are currently in the works for phasing our our plastic packaging to using recycled garment bags.

Watch this space, the journey to a greener world is just beginning.
